Peppermint - Essential oil story

In the case of peppermint,  there is an ancient Greek legend that Hades fell in love with a beautiful spirit named Mentha,  and the wife of Hades was so angry that she turned Mentha into an unremarkable grass. Although this grass is trampled by  people, it continues to emit fragrance,  which is mint. It can be seen that people have loved peppermint since ancient times.

Peppermint is an ancient plant. Ancient Egyptians and Greeks and Romans used peppermint as a medicinal plant to help  digestion. At that time, when people participated in banquets,  they would also make a crown of peppermint flowers to wear on their heads, or spread on doilies,  and this aroma could prevent guests from feeling dizzy and vomiting after drinking.

In modern times,  people in parts of the Middle East will offer a cup of hot mint tea to guests from afar as a consolation for their  arduous journey;  Morocco is also home to a daily drink of Morocco tea(a tea filled with mint and sugar cubes to refresh and aid  digestion), while a bottle of mint leaves is placed in front of some homes in Texas,  symbolizing a sincere welcome to the guest.
